Established fifteen years ago, the Red Corner is Coventry’s Premier Boxing Gym. You’d be hard pressed to find a more experienced group of coaches in the area; our team of professional & ex-professional athletes (mainly boxers) are like a second family ready to welcome you into the fold. We offer simple, no contract memberships. Renew when you want, if you want. From a day, a week, a month or even a whole year, we are confident we have a pass that’ll fit into your routine. We feel passionate about boxing being a sport that brings people together, no matter what age, ability or experience. The Red Corner was built to welcome anyone who had a genuine interest in the sport, no ego’s allowed. Teaching is something we have always felt extremely passionate about. What We Offer:
Club in its present format has been running since 1967, the club is based at the Tile Hill Gym on the grounds of the Standard Triumph Recreation Club. The Triumph Amateur Boxing club in 1967 was taken over by Tom McGarry, Tom was a high-level England manager and ABA executive. Tom retired in 2001 due to ill health and running of club was taken over by Dinesh Darbar, who has been a club member since 1978 and a coach with the club since 1983. The club has produced a lot of boxers over the years and has consistently produced a portfolio of champions at every level. The succession of champions has given the club a high profile in amateur boxing. We are always in the process of developing grass root boxing to local community as an on going community club that offers access and participation to everyone who wishes to take part in amateur boxing. By product of the clubs existence is that reduces local youth from criminal activities, improve quality of life i.e. health, welfare, self esteem.SPECIALITY:
