What We Offer:

Since it’s transformation from the much loved mainstay of the Coventry music scene, Taylor Johns, to a charitable organisation in August 2013, The Tin Music and Arts has gone from strength to strength. Named in homage to the now sadly closed Tin Angel, The Tin Music and Arts is committed to creating a thriving, artistic hub here at the Canal Basin as well as in other venues around the city. Our events have a positive influence on the community of Coventry as a whole – whether that be through our regular live music events, which sees us frequently booking established and international acts as well as local homegrown talent, or through our artist’s studio, and Community Space, which is used almost every day of the week for Tai Chi and Yoga Classes. Our events programme is innovative, diverse, challenging, and we have a reputation for supporting high quality and innovative arts and artists from Coventry, the UK, and from all over the world. As well as programming live music and events we partner with several local organisations to deliver specific programmes and events.

Great atmospheric bar in the Canal Basin area of Coventry. Has hosted some great gigs over the years. Also offers private hire.
What a great place, really good music venue. Facilities are excellent got a decent bar. Really good atmosphere and a really great place to hang out. Would definitely recommend.

Always an excellent gig here. Intimate venue, lovely friendly staff who are ever so helpful. Great sound from a hall of it’s size. Car parking is wonderful and a two minute walk away and FREE of an evening too! Absolutely love coming here.
Great venue for gigs, reasonable view from most of the room.
Sound quality suffers a little from the low ceiling, but overall a nice venue. Be nice if the bar could be separated from the sound a bit.

I really like the balcony bar area, good staff, good security and decent sound from the venue too. Just be careful using the escalator going into and out of the venue; it’s disused but sharp edges for anybody with wobbly legs after a drink or two I’d imagine.
First time at a gig in Coventry and the Empire was an excellent venue. The bar prices were reasonable and queues were not too long. It was a decent size for the event and seemed smart, having apparently only opened recently. I’ll be back next year to see The Enemy in their home town.
Had a fantastic nite at the Empire, it was the first time I’ve been there. Really great venue, really great staff and also we had to provide a covid passport to get in which made us feel way more relaxed so we could get on with enjoying our evening.
